It's time for back to school with EAD!!!

Wow, I can't believe it's already August and school will be here before we know it.

My project for today is a little hand made frame for school photo wallets made from chipboard coasters and some EAD!!!

I used 3 coasters that are 4x4 inches total, 1 for the front, 1 for the back, and 1 to use in between to hold the photo in place and for the arm that holds it up!

The EAD stickerz sets I used were:

AND

BACK TO SCHOOL

I cut the background to size and put the stickerz on kraft cardstock and then cut them out and used foamies to adhere them to my frame!

Here's my project of sorts for you today. I used the canister labels#1. When I picked them when Emily introduced them I didn't have the containers yet that I wanted to use with them. Recently I found some that I really liked, well actually I found 2 different styles. The photo below is one of the styles I used the others are clear and square shaped.

Hi again! I'm not sure what's gotten into the past week, but I like it! I've felt so creative and when I have a day off I'm working on crafting projects. So here's my card I created for the 2S4Y sketch # 57. I love the sketches they create. For this card I used 3 of my favorite companies products. I'm also entering it in the Card Style Classy and Elegant Challenge in the Moxie Fab World challenge.

The first company is EAD Designs. They make vinyl wall art, rub-ons and stickers. I LOVE the cute items they create! For this card I used the "hello" sentiment from the stickerz set Saying Hello Sentiments.

Second company is Unity Stamp Co.'s sister company {ippity}. The flowers are from the kit Now & Always, and I have to say this is one of my all time favorite kits. I just love paper piecing the flowers!

And the third company is October Afternoon. I used papers from their lines "Report Card" and "Thrift Store" I'm totally in love with the papers from these two lines, along with a lot of others they offer.

If you've never tried Unity Stamps you should. They are really easy to use. Hey! I hope you all are having a great Monday! I hope you are joining me from the EAD Designs blog.

I find all of these super cute cards and projects that have stitching and I really would like to add that touch to my cards, but I sometimes don't have the time to do stitching and that's where the incredibly awesome STITCHES stickerz set from EAD Designs come in! I am completly in love with them. I love that you get a variety of styles and in both brown and black on each sheet. I used them in brown for this card. I cut each strip in half and it worked out perfectly. I would have had to use more than 2 strips if i would have put it all the way behind my centerpiece. It looks like the real deal to me. I think everyone should have a bunch of these on hand!

I also used the FUNKY FRAMES and RIGHT ON TARGET stickerz sets. I just love the birdies in that set too! I also used SU! cardstock and Basic Grey Kioshi patterned paper.

For my card I also incorporated it with the Get Sketchy sketch #47.

Little somethings with EAD!!!

Hey! Happy Monday to you! Well I hope it's a happy Monday so far. Hopefully you are joining me from Rae's blog, if not make sure you jump back to the EAD Designs blog to start our hop.

For my project this week I created some mini cards. I used white and pink cardstock for my card bases and added some super cute stickerz from the hoot-a-licious and stitches sets. To add a little extra "bling" I added some red crystals to the heart on the top card and the belly of the owl on the bottom right card.

Embellish Invitation Color Challenge

One of my favorite stamp companies (UNITY STAMP CO.) is sponsoring the current Embellish Magazine color challenge. Along with the color challenge your project needed to be an invitation. I decided to do a baby shower invite in the shape of a onesie.

I started by making my template for the onesie, and then traced the pieces onto my cardstock and patterened paper. Pieced them together, stamped the little bird and sentiment on (both Unity Stamp Co. stamps) added faux stitching with a red pen and traced the bird and sentiment with a clear glitter pen. My gold/kraft can be found with my cardstock base, my deep red is in the faux stitching, patterned paper, and the eyelets I used for the snaps, and the green is found in the stamped images.

Hey, Hopefully you are joining me from Rae's blog, if not head back to the EAD Designs blog to start our hop. I hope you all had a great holiday weekend. Todays theme was red, white, and blue. Usually when you pair those 3 colors together I tend to think 4th of July. I decided to take this in a different way this time.

My red white and blue in my card are found in my 3D flower I used. The EAD Designs products I used are the sentiment from the SAYING HELLO stickerz and the little"x"style stitches from the STITCHES stickerz set.

I also used some stamps from ippity by Unity Stamp co set. Now & Always. The paper pieced flower and the flower I stamped on the card itself which is a little bit hard to see in the photo. To finish my flower off I sprayed it with one of my new Shimmerz Spritzes.

EAD Blog Hop!!!

Hey! Hope you all have enjoyed the first half on June so far. Wow that's crazy to say we've already passed through the first half of the month. My month has been crazy so far, trying to find a new place to live and that dreaded packing! On a positive note we've found a cute place that I can't wait to start decorating!!!

For my post today I created a treat box/pen or pencil holder using chipboard coasters.

I used Fluttering Blooms in Color printed on clear. Originally when i ordered them I wasn't sure what I had planned for them, but when I got the coasters and picked the bright, fun paper I knew that this set was meant for this project. I added various stickles to some of the stickerz I used. When each panel was finished I punched holes using my crop-a-dile and then tied them together with some silk ribbon!

Wow! I can't believe we're already celebrating our 4th wedding anniversary. It seems just like yesterday we were dating. I've enjoyed the the time we've had together so far and I look forward to the many more we have to come!

Ok, so here's my project...

I honestly think these owls are the some of the cutest owls I've ever seen. I found some metal magnet clips at walmart in the office supply area. They come in packs of two, so I bought 2 packs because 2 cute magnets wouldn't be enough! I really think I'll be making more of these :)

I started by putting patterned paper on the clip. Then I took a brown ink and inked the edges. Then applied the Right on Target stickerz printed on clear. After that I finished them off by applying modge podge on top to seal it all together!

On a side note- The magnet board was a project I did a little while back using the vinyl rub-on set Just Because Retro Forest in mint, cream, and pink!

There's no Place like home, with EAD!!!

I just love these new stickerz that E.A.D. Designs are coming out with. They are super cute and super easy to work with. For my project today I used the Wizard of Oz stickerz and a little note pad. I took the cover off and covered it in blue patterned paper for my sky. I used a green ribbon to try and create the grass. I layered the ribbon trying to give it a multiple hill like look. After that I applied my stickerz and stamped the rainbow and colored it with stickles. Hope you like how it turned out!

Stickerz with EAD launch!!!!!

Hey! Today I'm super excited. The Stickerz line from EAD Designs launches today. They are super cute and easy to work with. I think evey crafter should try these out. You can get them printed on clear OR white stickerz. How cool is that?

For my project today I'm using the Alice In Wonderland set. I thought these would make cute little invites for a child's birthday or any kind of party for that matter. I applied my stickerz to white cardstock and mounted that on my little card with patterned paper. Then I took different color stickles to give the white cardstock a border and the glitz it up! I also took a glitter pen and traced around each sticker.

Today is the kick off of our week long celebration of E.A.D.'s 8th birthday! Yay!! This of course means sweet, sweet things for all of our followers! Today we have the super cute {create} craft room saying that some lucky crafters can win. So I thought I'd start this week off with a project filled with LOVE for E.A.D.!

I used the "love" symbol in size A(10" H x7"W). I applied it on the outside piece of glass on my frame. I cut a piece of cardstock to fit inside the frame and then cut 1 inch squares out of a few pieces of Basic Grey's new Max and Whiskers line. I attached each square onto my cardstock and then put it in my frame to finish my piece. It was pretty easy to make and I like the patchwork/quiltblock look of it.

Say it with a Chalk-it Owl!

I just love the owls that E.A.D. has been coming out with, and this chalk-it owl takes the cake!

I used a 12x16 canvas board and covered it with 2 sheets of blue woodgrain paper from DCVW( my trim piece on top is from the same collection) I also used a white crackle paint around the edges. I wanted it to look like my background was made up of multiple "boards". To finish it off I used a border punch to decorate the trim piece. Pretty easy project, and now I have a cool message board.

Never Forget with EAD!

Hi all! Well Spring is finally here! Yay:) Right now our yard is filled with pretty blooms from our apple, cherry, and lilac trees. I just had to take a few photos to share with you.

Ok, so here's my project. I had went to Michaels awhile back and found some $1 recipe boxes. I decided to turn one of them into a address/special occasions box. I used the word "remember" from the Baroque Frames rub on set in hot pink and lime. I cut the word apart every 2 letters and switched the color. I also used the hearts from the Hearts rub on set. I outlined the word with stickles to help it stand out more. Added some rifraf on the lid and a few buttons on the bottom. My plan from the box is to make cards that fit that I can put a person's address, birthdays, anniversaries , and any other special occasion.

When I seen this adorable Hope glass block design I knew I had to get it!
I decided to use it on a 8x8" frame instead. It was super easy to do and I love how it turned out. Neat thing about it is I can change the background paper to accommodate each season! To finish it off I added some cute buttons!

Better late than never, right? I did my friends project on the wonderful friends I made when I lived in California. I miss these girls like crazy. I only got to be with them a little over a year, but they are some of the best friends I've ever had. I try to keep in touch with them as much as I can, and I hope to see them sometime in the near future.

Leroy+ EAD = Good Times!!!

As some of you might know, Leroy is my pet turtle. I've had him for almost 2 years and it's been interesting seeing him grow. He still has a way to go before he is fully grown. So I thought I'd share with you today a layout I created about him!

I used the GOOD TIMES vinyl rub ons set in brown and olive. To create my background I used a patterned paper sheet from Cosmo Cricket and cut all the pieces out and the attached some of them in the order they were as a whole piece of paper. I also took brown ink to the edges before applying them to my kraft cardstock. The "Leroy" letters are acrylic letters that I applied different color Stickles to and then on the front I used a crackle glue. Last but not least I took twine and threaded it into each button and tied them.

Sydney is 9 years old. On March 2nd, she was diagnosed with a type of a germ cell tumor in the brain by the pituitary glad. The specific germ cell tumor is called Germinoma. Sydney also developed diabetes due to the tumor. Sydney has a lot to deal with because she has autism and doesn't understand all that is going on and that is making her journey difficult because she was having trouble taking medication and visiting the doctors.

Dreaming of warmer weather with E.A.D.!

Recently for Valentine's day my Husband gave me 2 beautiful orchid plants.
I just love how pretty they look, and they made me think of our trip to Hawaii.
We went to a luau and they gave us orchids to put behind our ear.
So here I am again with another layout I made using photos from our trip!

I started by picking 8 photos and trimmed them down to 3"x3" and attached them
to the patterned paper mat I chose.
Then I cut the middle square out. I used the Flower Doodles set of vinyl rub ons.
I cut them in half to get more out of them
since half of the flowers would be covered by the mat.
I had some chipboard letters that I decorated with stickles and a clear gloss glue.
To finish the layout off I traced around each flower with a glitter pen.

I found the sign at our local dollar store and added some patterned paper for my background.

Pretty In Pink & White with E.A.D.!!!

For my project this month I decided to go back to our younger years when we all gave each other little Valentines in school.
I started by cutting my cards to 3"x4" pieces. Some of the pieces I stamped with a scrpit stamp from SU!.

I just love the cute Valentine's Day kits that the talented designers at E.A.D. created!

I made a quick card using the Valentine rub on set. I used the Be My Valentine sentiment in brown and hot pink, and a cute little flower from the Love Poe rub on set. I used some scrap pieces of Basic Grey's Bittersweet collection. After applying my rub ons I traced them with a glitter pen, and attached a button with some twine.

My Recipe:

Hi! Toady we are sharing our "LOVE" with you. My love is my husband, Spencer. We met 8 years ago at a highschool sporting event. He was so cute and shy :) Looking back to that time I would have never imagined that I'd be where I am today or have seen the things I've seen. I more than likely would have never lived in California or Washington. Probably wouldn't have went to Hawaii or been on an aircraft carrier. I wouldn't change any of it. I look forward to many more years with him!

Ok, my project for today is a layout I did using cute tree from the LOVE POE vinyl set and the "LOVE" sentiment from the Valentines vinyl set. I ordered both sets in brown and hot pink. I used the brown tree for my base and then cut off all the hearts and flowers and did the same to the hot pink tree and switched them. I also did the same thing to the "LOVE" sentiment. I traced around the tree and "LOVE" with a glitter gel pen. For the frame around the layout I used a paper I had bought last Valentine's season that had strips of sayings on pink or white stripes. I cut them down to size and inked the edges with brown. I then applied them on the frame and then cut other stripes from the cute Bittersweet line from Basic Grey. I really like how it turned out!

Well I think Spring can knock on my door any day now! I'm really looking forward to it warming up and for the trees and flowers to bloom. So I decided to use some pretty flowers from the Flower Doodles vinyl rub on set. I had bought a candle holder at the dollar store awhile back figuring I would find a use for it sometime. Well I ended up putting a bunch of pens in it, and decided it needed some life to it! I started by applying the flowers on each side and then added a few swirls and dots that are included with the flowers. After that I took my Sakura Glaze gel pens and started coloring in the flowers. I really like these pens they give you that stained glass look when they dry.

Wow, I can't believe how fast Christmas got here. I've enjoyed making holiday projects so much I made 1 more! If you remember back in November I used the "HO, HO, HO" vinyl set to create 3D blocks, well I just loved those HO, HO, HO's I had to use them 1 more time.

This time I put them to use on a wall hanging. Another thing I've really liked, but hadn't tried making yet was a pennant banner, so I thought these would work perfectly together.

To make this project I bought a 14x18 picture frame. I painted it brown, and covered the glass with a cute holiday wrapping paper for my background. I cut 3 triangles, one each in red, green, and white, and then 3 more triangles a little bit smaller in the patterned paper. After that I got out my Slice machine and cut out my scalloped circles in 4" and 3 1/2" in red, green, and white. Then I scalloped the edges of my bigger triangles and attached the patterned paper to each of them. I then took the circles and applied the HO, HO, HO's in red, green, and silver. After putting each pennant together I attached them to my background, and attached a bow at the joining of each pennant. To finish it off I took a big and 2 smaller snowflake ornaments and tied a piece of twine to each and hung them from the top.

Time for traditions with EAD!!!

Well I think this is my favorite time of year (minus the cold). I love getting all the holiday decorations out and setting up the tree. Today for our blog hop we are sharing traditions. My tradition is that after we've ate our big Thanksgiving meals we get out the Christmas tree and holiday decorations and start putting them up. I love decorating the tree. I also love finding ornaments for our tree since we got married 3 years ago and didn't bring any ornaments with us. Our first ornament we got together is a pretty silver heart that says our Christmas together 2006, and our most recent one is a wood piece with a turtle design on it that we found in Hawaii this past June. I've also had a fascination with penguins since I was little so I've picked up a bunch of them along the way too. In amongst these ornaments are brightly colored glass ornaments too that I think mean just as much to me as the other ones. Call me crazy they are just regular ornaments with no special meaning or story to go with them, but each one is pretty and different. They complete the tree perfectly! Another tradition I had as a little kid was around this time of year I had my Mom read me my favorite book - The Velveteen Rabbit. I look forward to someday sharing that book when I have children!

Ok, on to my project. I decided to do a 2 page layout featuring my tree and a few of my favorite ornaments. I used a few different sets of vinyl which include - Alphabet(title and brackets around jouraling), Christmas Friends(curly brackets around title), Christmas Sentiments 1 (holly leaves and berries), Christmas Sentiments 2(red star/flower), and Snowflakes (silver snowflake).
I used scrap pieces for my little squares and outlined them with a glitter pen and the snowflake, holly leaves, and star/flower with a white gel pen.

My Recipe:

Hi everyone! Hope you are all excited for the upcoming holidays as I am! I just love getting out all the decorations and putting them up. As much as I love putting up my decorations I love making them too! I had bought a little chipboard album earlier this year, but I wasn't entirely sure what I was going to do with it. After seeing all the cute wall hangings made from some chipboard and paper I knew this was what that little album was mean for!

I used my absolute favorite holiday paper from last year by Basic Grey. Boy, I wish I had bought more. I used the words Peace, Love, & Joy from the Christmas Sentiments 2 rub-on set and snowflakes from the Snowflakes rub-on set. I also used some scrap pieces of various holiday papers I had on hand. Each snowflake I outlined with a white gel pen, and the sentiments & borders I outlined with stickles.

And here's it all put together!

My recipie:

(4) pieces of chipboard
(2) background papers + multiple scrap pieces
(1) white gel pen
(3) christmas colored stickles
velvet ribbon

Thinking of warmer times with E.A.D.!!!!!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Now it's time to celebrate some birthdays in my family starting with me on the 29th, and then my Brother, Mother, and Grandmother's before Christmas. So we all keep busy this time of year. This time of year also means it's going to be cold. I'm not a huge fan of the cold, so I decided to do a layout from my trip to Hawaii from earlier this year. I got to enjoy a week there with Spencer. It was lovely! So warm and beautiful. For my layout I used the cute Hawaii vinyl rub-on set. After finishing the layout I took a fine tip marker and went around the edges to create the faux stitching look. I plan to create the right hand side of this layout and a few others to showcase more of my photos from Hawaii!

My recipe:

Ho Ho How neat is EAD?

Wow here we are over half way done with November. For this week's project I decided to make so Holiday cubes/blocks. I think those wooden blocks with different vinyl from EAD Designs are so cute, so I needed to make some for myself. I made 3 inch blocks out of cardstock. They were very easy to make. After assembling my blocks I cover each side with a different paper.

Ok, now for the good stuff: The VINYL!!!!

As soon as I seen the HO! HO! HO! set in the Christmas section, I knew I wanted to make some blocks with them! I ended up ordering them in 6 colors- 2 reds, 2 greens, 1 white, and 1 silver. I wanted to use them in sets of 3, but I didn't want to make 6 blocks to show the color combinations that I wanted. I decided to do one set on the "front" and then turned them around and put the other set on the "back" side. This way, depending on how I decorate I can pick one of the sets to coordinate with the decorations. After applying the HO! HO! HO!'s I added stickles around the letters.

At that point I could have said "ok they are done", but I felt they were missing a little something.

I used 15 snowflakes from the Snowflakes vinyl set in silver and white.

Call of Duty and E.A.D!!!

Hi! My husband has only been gone less than a week and I've already completed 3 projects. It's a good way to keep myself busy. I even woke up bright and early Tuesday morning to get in line for the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 game release, just so Spencer can play it as soon as he gets back from their work-up(Navy) aboard the USS Stennis.

Last month I shared a magnetic board I applied the super cute vinyl rub-ons from the
Just Because set. I love this set so much I decided to use it for my project to share with you today. I went to our local dollar store and bought a glass vase. I then took the Just Because set in Mint, Cream, and Pink and used the side trim pieces. I left the mint trim the width it was, and then trimmed the cream a little smaller and the pink the smallest. Then I applied 3 of the flowers(1 in each color) and then added 2 of the little birds. Then I added some clear pebbles and my bamboo stalks.

My Recipe:

Wow, I can't believe it's almost November. I can't believe how fast the past 6 months have went either! Before we know it Thanksgiving will be here, soon followed by Christmas!!! I thought for this hop I'd make another Christmas card. I know we haven't already celebrated Halloween, but it never hurts to get a jump start on those holiday cards. I used the Fun in the Snow rub-on set for this card. I started by drawing a tree on the backside of my paper and then poked holes for the stitching. I used a multi-colored green floss for my tree and a gray/brown floss for the trunk.
I attached the snowman on white cardstock and then colored it in using markers.

My Recipe:

(1) Fun in the Snow vinyl rub-on set
(2) embroidery flosses

Unity Day #5

Hello again!

Here we are at Friday already. Yay! My project today didn't start out as what it ended up to be. Originally I was going to make a deck of playing cards. After trying to figure out what stamps to use, I figured out that there were to many stamps i wanted to use. From there it turned into the good 'ol kids game of memory. I plan to do at least 25 matches, and so far I have 12 completed. I know that by the time I get to set 25 I'll want to re-do the first sets. Here is a sample of what I've done so far. I also decided the backs of the cards needed stamping too, so I used the distressed dots background. I'm going to be using random stamps from a variety of kits ranging from KOTM's to normal everyday kits.

My Recipe:
(26) Unity Stamp Co. stamps- from a variety of kits
(2) Ink pads - brown and black
(?) markers to color images
(50) playing card sized pieces of white cardstock
(50) playing card sized pieces of colored cardstock
(1) Corner rounder
(1) Adhesive to put cards together

Unity Day #4

Hello!

Before I start in on what I to show you today I just wanted to say thank you to each and everyone of you for the wonderful comments!

Ok so here we go with day 4, wow the time goes by fast. I had seen coasters made using tiles you would use in home improvement projects, and I thought I'd give it a try. So far, I'm still playing around with them to see what works best. Here's a photo of my most recent 3.

I had a hard time picking the right Unity stamp because they are all so adorable!

Here are individual photos of each tile.

On this tile I used the cute cherry vine box from the June '09 KOTM. I stamped it with Black StazOn ink and then added red and green around the cherries and leaves.

On the second tile I used the cute bird cages with quote from the May '09 KOTM. After stamping in black I used 5 pastels to color the bird cages.

For my last tile I used the snowflake and winter wonderland stamps from the Bright & Merry Winter Wishes set.

MORE CHOCOLATE!!!!

I thought I'd give another little treat box. This one is also found on Splitcoast Stampers as well. This is a nice little box that fits 3 little nuggets neatly inside. The base of this box reminds me of the little boxes I would make with my Grandma using greeting cards she had received. I believe I got my craftiness from my Grandma :)

I used the cherries and the cherry sentiment from the Unity June '09 Kit of the Month- Perfect in Every Way. I used a couple of gel pens that looks like stained glass when they dry.

My Recipe:

(1) Piece of patterned paper - Cosmo Cricket
(2) Super cute Unity Stamps- June '09 KOTM Perfect in Every Way

Just because I [heart] E.A.D.!!!!!

I am totally hooked on E.A.D.'s vinyl rub-ons. They just keep getting more awesome each time I use them. When I first saw the super cute Retro Forest in the wall decor I fell in love. So you can only imagine how I felt when it was made into the smaller crafting kit called Just Because. I also really loved the color combination used in the visual display of the Retro Forest, so I ordered Just Because in 3 colors- mint, pink, and cream.

I have had this magnetic board for awhile now, and have been waiting for the perfect vinyl to put on it. I'm quite pleased at how it turned out :)

There are some cute little birdies that also come in this set and I wanted to incorporate them in to this project somehow. A magnetic board isn't very useful without magnets!!! I bought some flat, clear glass marbles along with some 3/4" magnets at a nearby craft store. I applied the birdies to the back of the marble, and then took a precut 1" white circle of cardstock and glued them together. When that was dry I applied them to the magnets. Here's a closer look at one of the magnets and closeup of the detail on one of the trees.

Who loves chocolate? I know I do! I found a tutorial on Splitcoast stampers for a Ghiradelli box.
The box made on their site was just for 4 squares, I modified mine to fit 8. These little boxes would make a great, quick gift. I used the heart from the CONFESSION: i {luv} unity set and the saying is from the June '09 Kit of the Month Perfect in Every Way.

Hi! Well today starts my week of Unity packed fun! I'm going to try and give you all a variety of projects. Hope you all enjoy!

Here's my first project:

I made a card using the super cute Unity In America set. I just had to order this set as soon as I heard it had a stamp for the Navy. It will work great when I get around to scrapping photos from my hubby's deployment.

Let it snow? What, I must be crazy because September isn't even done with yet. I love how cute the vinyl snowflake rub-ons are from E.A.D. Designs. I ordered them in white, teal, and silver, but I'm thinking I'll be ordering more of these. These snowflakes would be cute on any holiday card, layout, home decor, or even a window. I can't wait to decorate after seeing these. I used my slice machine to cut out the tree 3 times and then cut the wavy patterns by hand and then embossed the edges in white. Then I cut my tree trunk and snow hill out out cardstock. For the final touch I applied a few of the cute snowflakes to give it that winter feel.

Hey! I hope you all had a great weekend and are having a good start to this week! Wow, here we are already in the second week of September. For my project this week I decided to alter a gift card tin that I bought on clearance after this past Christmas. I just love those deals :) I started by covering both the top and bottom of the tin with some cute Cosmo Cricket paper and then inked the edges brown. After that I stamped my journal spot on both the tin and the opposite side of the paper I used to cover the tin. After cutting out the inner circle and applying it to the tin I chose the "Thinking of You" sentiment from the SENTIMENTS vinyl rub-on set.

Hope you all have enjoyed your summer so far. I can't believe it's went by so fast. My project this week is a Leroy inspired birthday card. Leroy is my crazy turtle. We got him a little over a year ago. I've enjoyed watching him grow over the past year, so I thought I'd make a birthday card today with the super cute turtles that Emily has over on the E.A.D website. I just love these turtles :) I also used one of the "Happy Birthday" sentiments from the Sentiments vinyl rub on set

Dog Tag + E.A.D. Designs = Key Chain!!!

Wow, it's so crazy that it's already the 11th of August already. Where does the time go? Well I don't have a super big project this week. Things have been kind of crazy around here, but I was able to find a little bit of time to make something to share. Spencer and I had bought a horseshoe set a while back and there was a metal "dog tag" shaped tag attached to the packaging. I thought I would give it a second life. I used some cute Cosmo Cricket paper, shimmer spray, stickles, and of course some awesome E.A.D. vinyl. I used a lowercase "v" from the Alphabet vinyl rub-on set. It was a quick and easy way to reuse little trinkets around the house that might normally just sit and collect dust.

I took a corkboard I bought at my lss. I painted the frame purple and then applied the crackle medium so i could finish it with the teal topcoat. After that I applied some flowers from the Flower Doodles rub on set and Growing rub on set. I used a couple markers to color the flowers in to give it a little "pop". I also used the Alphabet rub on set to create my title. I thought this would make a nice way to organize upcoming projects.

SPCC Color Combo #3

I recently found this cool color combination challenge site. SPCC. If you are in the mood for a good color challenge head on over and give it a try. Each Monday a new combo is posted and you have til Sunday to link your project up to the site. Winners are posted each Monday. This weeks colors are lovely lilac, chocolate chip, and garden green.

Time Flies with E.A.D.!!!

Wow here we are with only a week left of June. I'm super excited for June to be done with. Don't get me wrong I LOVE SUMMER, but the end of June means my husband will be home very soon! I have so much packing to do this week, and a long drive ahead of me. It's all worth it though, and my brother has decided to make the trip with me. Here's a little project I created to help count down the days.

I used (2) 4 inch chipboard coasters for each of these calendars. For both of these calendars I used Fancy Pants Paper.

For my first calendar I used a cute tree from the Funky Trees vinyl rub-on set and the little bird came from the Owl and Birdies vinyl run-on set. I outlined each leaf with my sakura glitter pen.

For the second chipboard callendar I made a cloud with white cardstock and then used my Dew Drop Shimmer spray. After it dried I stitched around the could to help it stand out. I used the "hi" from the Sentiments rub-on set and the owl is from the Owl and Birdies rub-on set.

I found this really cool site that does weekly color challenges, and I thought I would give it a try. The blogsite is Scrapmaster's Paradise Color Combos or SPCC for short. For this weeks color combo challenge you were to use Certainly Celery, Rose Red, and Close to Cocoa. I thought I would use this challenge to create one of the Father's Day cards I needed to make this year. I used Unity Stamp Co.'s super cute grill and lantern lights from the new set Retro BBQ...Sweet Summer Time and Alpha G Just My Type for the word DAD. Hope all the Dads out there have a great Father's Day!

Wedding Anniversary E.A.D. style!!!

Hello! Tomorrow is my third wedding anniversary. These past 3 years have went by fast, although we've only gotten to spend 2 and a half of them actually together. I thought I'd make a anniversary gift for my husband to give to him when he gets back from his deployment. I can't wait for him to get back home!!!

I started with a four opening frame. I took the matting out and covered them with 2 different papers. After that I took a glitter gel pen to add some detail to each of the mats. I added 2 photos to 2 of the openings and then printed the quote and our names and date on light blue cardstock. I then applied vinyl to the cardstock pieces. I used 2 cute little designs from the Caged scrapbooking set on both cardstock pieces in light blue and 2 hearts in brown from the Retro Spring scrapbooking set.

My quote says:

Baking up some sweet E.A.D. goodies!!!

Good morning all! I hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend.

How many of you love to bake? I sure do! In the past 4 and a half months I've done a lot of baking. My husband is in the Navy and is currently stationed aboard the USS John C. Stennis, so I've been sending him lots of goodies. For my project this week I decided to alter a giant clothespin to use as a recipe card holder. I started by painting the clothespin white. Then I used some modge podge to glue on my patterned papers. After that I stamped the flower image on and attached accent paper and ribbon. I did the same thing to both sides. On the top part of the the clothespin I used the cute little bird from E.A.D. Designs Owl and Birdies Vinyl Rub-Ons. When I was finished I applied a couple layers of glitter modge podge to seal it.

For my recipe card I used one of my all-time favorite recipies. CARMEL BARS!!! I printed the recipe on my patterned paper (My Mind's Eye) and then I used the adorable bird house branch from Owl and Birdies set and the blue bird from the Caged set. After making these projects I was really craving these yummy bars! Hope you enjoyed what I have shared with you today!

Ok, so here's my project. I found this clipboard at my local craft store. I used the August KOTM on this project. I just love this little camper and the saying. I applied glitter modge podge over all the background before attaching my stamped pieces and vinyl brackets. After completing the clipboard I attached ribbon on the backside so I can hang it up.

Hello! Well I decided to give Ashley's EtsyInspired challenge a try. Each week a different Etsy shop is featured. This week's cute shop is Angel Face Designs . I found a lot of the designs in this shop to be inspiring, but the "you are my sunshine" necklace really caught my eye.
I think I was drawn most to it because we have had such a long and cold winter, and I want to see some sunshine! I decided to create a bracelet instead of a card. That way anytime I need some "sunshine" I just have to put it on!

Now on to the details. All you need to do is check out Angel Face Designs over on Etsy and find a piece that inspires you. Create any kind of project you want and put it on your blog. I'm super excited! In March the Unity Stamp Co. featured a challenge. The challenge was to create different projects using their March Kit of The Month. We all uploaded our layouts, cards, and altered projects to Splitcoast Stampers. There were a lot of very beautiful projects submitted. They were then narrowed down to 5 and voted on by all the wonderful Unity followers, and I found out today that I won! I want to thank everybody who voted for me. Now here's the awesome part. I get my April Kit of The Month free(how cool is that!) AND I get to have my blog featured this Thursday along with Unity's amazing design team! My second card was for the Unity Addicts challenge. You had to use something not typically used for card making. I used the little star tag that came from a shirt I recently bought.
